Healthcare Professionals Network

At the Attention and Memory Centers we see patients referred from a variety of healthcare specialists, ranging from neurologists, pediatricians, and psychiatrists, to psychologists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists. In addition, we also receive referrals from attorneys for expert evaluations, and medical insurance companies for independent medical evaluations.

Our evaluations can assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with the diagnosis and treatment of children with developmental and neurological disorders. We also work with families to design and carry out treatment recommendations. Our adult evaluations can determine why certain individuals may have difficulty with academic performance, employment, or daily functioning. We work with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive individual treatment recommendations designed to improve an individual's everyday functioning. Our older adult evaluations can identify why certain individuals may have difficulty with memory, communication, problem solving or independent living. We work with healthcare professionals to design treatment plans that maximize an individual's quality of life. Our evaluations may also help family members or loved ones make decisions about a person's competency or independence.

Healthcare professionals have found neuropsychiatric and neuropsychological evaluations helpful in differential diagnosis, treatment monitoring, documenting cognitive difficulties, determining cognitive strengths and weaknesses, differentiating mood and anxiety symptoms from the effects of various related disorders, and integrating neurological, psychiatric, and psychosocial functioning into the broader picture. Along these lines, providers have found our treatment team to be helpful in treating patients whose symptoms cross over multiple disciplines (e.g., neurology and psychiatry), or who have eluded successful treatment in the past.

Please feel free to contact us for any reason, whether it is to consult on a case, see one of your patients for an independent evaluation or treatment, or discuss professional opportunities. We are happy to hear from you.
