Head Injuries
More than 2 million Americans sustain concussions or mild brain injuries every year. In some cases, the cognitive consequences of these injuries persist long after the physical symptoms disappear. Head injuries can also be associated with changes in mood and personality or chronic pain as a direct result of the physical trauma. These co-occurring conditions can also result as a secondary consequence associated with the injury. We evaluate and treat patients who have sustained a variety of head injuries using a variety of methods, with the goal of helping the patient restore/return to function at a pace that positions he or she for maximum success.
